The Multidomain Solutions Division (MDS) within the Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a skilled Cyber Engineer to join a new cyber security program and play a key role in supporting governmentcritical systems. You will be part of a program that oversees development integration delivery and operations and maintenance of IT managed security services which encompasses support to monitor the cybersecurity threat and security posture situational awareness for the enterprise. This opportunity is in anticipation of a future contract award!

What youll be doing:

• Design implement and maintain security solutions that protect networks systems and data from cyber threats.
• Apply a strong technical background in cybersecurity network security and risk mitigation strategies.
• Play a critical role in securing our infrastructure responding to security incidents and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Develop implement and maintain security solutions including firewalls intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS) endpoint security and SIEM tools.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments penetration testing and security audits to identify and mitigate risks.
• Monitor security systems and respond to security incidents investigating and mitigating threats.
• Support the integration of security best practices into system development and IT operations.
• Implement and maintain identity and access management (IAM) solutions.
• Ensure compliance with security frameworks and regulatory standards (e.g. NIST CIS ISO 27001 HIPAA GDPR).
• Automate security processes and enhance detection capabilities using scripting (Python PowerShell etc..
• Research and stay uptodate with emerging threats vulnerabilities and security technologies.
• Assist in security awareness training and policy development.
• Work closely with IT DevOps and security teams to ensure a secure system architecture.

What does Leidos need from me

• Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) with Polygraph security clearance required. Must be U.S. Citizen.
• Bachelors and 4 to 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 to 6 years of prior relevant experience. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Favorable if you have:

• CompTIA Network
• CISSP or other IAT III
