Job Description

HUALAPAI PREFERENCE
Position: Laundry Attendant Lodge
Department: Hualapai Lodge
Classification: NonExempt
Salary Range: H2
Supervisor: Housekeeping Supervisor Lodge

Position Summary:
Provide laundry services for the Hualapai Lodge. Typical duties would include gathering soiled laundry cleaning folding and storing of laundry. Ensure laundry equipment is in a clean safe and operable condition and use proper safety and health procedures in the use of all chemicals. Provides quality customer service at all times.
Knowledge and Abilities:
  1. Ability to physically complete duties such as gathering laundry washing and cleaning folding and storing of laundry. Requires long periods of standing and bending.
  2. Basic knowledge of cleaning products and chemicals and ability to learn and follow proper safety and use policies and procedures.
  3. Ability to routinely walk stand bend and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  4. Ability to work in a team environment and establish and maintain positive working relationships. Good client/customer service skills and the ability to work independently as well as in support of the group effort.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Gather laundry from corridors and other areas of Lodge. Wash and clean the laundry and fold and store as appropriate.
  2. Provide outstanding customer service.
  3. Assist Room Attendants as needed.
  4. Perform other workrelated duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  1. Good oral communication skills.
  2. Preference given to Hualapai Tribal members.
Working Conditions:
Must be able to routinely walk stand bend and carry items weighing up to 25 lbs. as part of duties. Must be able to work varying schedules weekends and holidays.



Grand Canyon Resort Corporation (GCRC) is whollyowned by the Hualapai Tribe and is located in Peach Springs Arizona. In 1988 the Hualapai People who have been part of this land since time immemorial established GCRC welcoming millions of visitors each year to tour the area. The year 1883 is when the reservation was established and occupiers are usually foreign to the land they occupy. To further increase tourism in the area the Grand Canyon Skywalk was built in 2007. The Skywalk is a glass horseshoeshaped bridge that enables visitors to walk beyond the canyon walls at Grand Canyon West suspending them 4000 feet above the riverbed and providing an unparalleled view of this natural wonder.
