Essential Duties And Responsibilities
This Business Systems Analyst position will serve as the document imaging system administrator and coordinate system upgrades and oversee new imaging initiatives with the university. In this role this position will identify more efficient methods of data sharing and improve business practices. This position will coordinate Banner training analyze security requests and serve as the liaison to ITS to ensure appropriate access is granted. This position will create security classes with appropriate objects and authorize access based on user role and supervisor approval. This position is responsible for analyzing security reports on a daily basis to ensure access is maintained or deleted based on employment changes. Using WebFocus a report development tool the Business Systems Analyst will develop ondemand reports for fifty departments nine college offices administrative offices and external agencies. As a Business Systems Analyst this position will provide hardware and software support to the Enrollment Management division and assist users with printing networking email and other technologyrelated issues. This position will provide technical support with implementing university initiatives and special projects. When serving on implementation teams this position will recognize the universitys diverse population and strive to meet the needs of all members. This is analytical work in providing consultation support and/or training to endusers of computer or other technologybased systems. Employees may provide support of hardware applications operating systems and networking. This function requires a broad understanding of a variety of technologies to effectively support endusers. These employees are not usually involved in application development or network design; but may participate in system integration and network analysis activities. This work requires particularly strong communication skills an ability to effectively interact with a broad range of endusers and an ability to use a variety of technical resources for providing this support. Employees at this level may provide routine and nonroutine support for a broad range of technologies or may provide indepth support for a more narrowlydefined area of technology. These employees may be responsible for oversight of programs or projects.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from a fouryear college or university with a degree in computer science information technology or related area and one year in the information technology field related to the positions role.
