Job Summary

A manufacturing engineer is responsible for designing implementing and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production of highquality products by analyzing current operations identifying areas for improvement and developing solutions to streamline workflows minimize waste and maximize output while adhering to safety and quality standards; often collaborating with other engineers technicians and production teams to achieve production goals

In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Process Design and Improvement:
  • Analyzing existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Designing and implementing new manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Design and development of tools and fixtures.
  • Conducting time studies and process capability analysis to identify bottlenecks.
  • Implementing lean manufacturing principles to streamline production.
• Equipment Selection and Maintenance:
  • Selecting and specifying new manufacturing equipment based on production needs.
  • Overseeing the installation and maintenance of production machinery.
  • Solving equipment malfunctions and coordinating repairs.
• Quality Control:
  • Establishing and maintaining quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Implementing quality control procedures and monitoring product quality metrics.
  • Investigating and resolving quality issues.
• Cost Optimization:
  • Identifying and implementing costsaving measures in the manufacturing process.
  • Analyzing production costs and identifying areas for reduction.
  • Managing inventory levels to minimize carrying costs
• Project Management:
  • Leading and managing manufacturing engineering projects from conception to implementation.
  • Developing project plans timelines and budgets.
  • Collaborating with multifunctional teams to achieve project goals.
• Automation and Robotics:
  • Evaluating the potential for automation and robotics in manufacturing processes.
  • Designing and implementing automated systems to enhance production efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing engineering background
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience using CAD or CAM software is added advantage
