Job Description

The Grand Hotel in Eastbourne are recruiting for a

Part Time Night Porter/Concierge

to join our nights team fixed term of six months

16 hours per week

Night Porter/Concierge Overview

You will be working as a Night Porter with a wide range of responsibilities such as:

  • Welcoming late arriving guests and escorting them to their rooms;
  • Assisting guests with luggage
  • Providing advice onhotel facilitiesas well aslocal places of interest
  • Valet parkingcars
  • Preparing snacks and serving food and drinks.

Please note this is a night time role working 8 hours 8pm and 4.30am you may be required to work weekends.

Although the role is mainly working night shifts there may be a requirment to work day shifts to assist with concierge department.

Night Porter Key Attributes

  • Clean valid UK driving licence preferred.
  • Possess a welcoming personalitytomakethe Grand Hotel an experience to remember whilst retaining the ability to be assertive when required.
  • Have excellent English language skills verbal and written.
  • Be physically fit as some heavy lifting is required.
  • You will have already gainedexperience within the hospitality or customer service industry.
