A growing auto insurance carrier is seeking an experienced BI/ThirdParty Trial Attorney with 24 years of civil litigation experience to join their team in either New Jersey or Michigan! This experience should include taking and defending lay and expert depositions extensive motion practice as well as trying cases to verdict. You will be responsible for handling BI/Third Party files from inception through trial and appeal if necessary.
Job Description
- 13 years of experience handling BI/Thirdparty litigation from inception to conclusion including trials to verdict. Additional handling of first party claims for auto carriers a plus
- First chair trials to verdict
- Ability to take full responsibility for files
- Must be able to handle a full inventory of files
- Knowledge of local and state discovery rules trial procedures and applicable substantive law commensurate with level of experience
- Experience presenting and crossexamining lay and expert witnesses
- Experience directing support staff on clerical and administrative matters related to lawsuit handling
- Experience working in a paperless electronic environment
- Strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation
- Preferred qualification is the handling of automobile negligence defense matters
Requirements
- 2 years of experience as an Attorney
- Must have triedBI/ThirdParty cases
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in Michigan or New Jersey

- $95000 $150000/ year (based on experience)
