Introduction
SPAR Phoenix Industrial is currently recruiting for a Technical Services Manager to join their dynamic team.
Duties & Responsibilities
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To efficiently oversee the maintenance of facilities equipment and services for the KZN distribution centre ensuring regulatory compliance while optimizing costs.

- Support the management of equipment and facility maintenance at KZN DC to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
- Integration with the various department managers in the DC to ensure the best utilization of facilities.
- Support the business in driving continuous improvement in equipment and facility management services.
- Management of all service contractors through SLAs and implement corrective actions when deviations from the SLA occur.
- Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations and standards.
- Oversee facilities management projects providing technical support as needed.
- Promote adherence to established processes for equipment maintenance and infrastructure upkeep.
- Support the planned and preventative maintenance plans proactively.
- Monitor maintenance budgets ensuring cost control and optimization.
- Investigate and recommend innovative costeffective solutions based on best practices.
- Provide monthly reports on maintenance schedules for all technical assets and facilities maintenance projects.
- Lead and manage a team including contractors and suppliers ensuring high standards of performance and resolving conflicts in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Effectively use green area meeting to ensure the delivery of the team goals through relevant scorecards as per the strategy.
- Responsible for the training coaching mentoring and professional development of employees directly reporting to you.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Facilities Management or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in technical maintenance or facilities management.
- Strong leadership problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
- Strong understanding of maintenance compliance and supplier management processes.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Effective communication and problemsolving abilities.
- Ability to manage budgets and cost control.
- Proficiency in SAP or maintenance management systems (advantageous).
- Valid drivers license.
