What Youll Do Here
- Participate in estimation efforts for Proposal Schedules including resource and contingency estimates.
- Set Project baselines schedules at award drafting the supporting Basis of Schedule and narratives securing approval maintaining records and aligning with project budget setup and initial risk register.
- Create resource loaded outage schedules with high attention to details shifts calendarsetc.
- Set the rules of credit with project management and considering cost management.
- Synchronize schedules in Aecon Database and Client Database.
- Integrate Monitor and control suppliers and subcontractors schedules.
- Organize internal meetings to validate progress and provide feedback.
- Update the schedules daily weekly and monthly or as required by the project.
- Conduct Critical Path Variance WhatIf Resources Burn rates Risk and Contingency analyses.
- Create Weekly look ahead schedules flags deviations and proposes corrective actions to project teams.
- Attention to commercial contractual and internal changes to analyze impacts and adhere to the Change Management Process through accurate change logs.
- Review and revise schedule logic as needed demonstrating impacts to Project Management and Corporate Project Controls. while logging all changes
- Establish Earned Value dashboards summarizing schedule information tracking Milestones and resources histograms inputs to Reporting internal and external in alignment with Cost Management.
- Lead and own the reporting process and validate reports with Project Manager prior to submission.
- Align schedule rebaseline with budget reforecasts and other Earned Value Metrics.
- Analyze schedule quality utilizing assessment tools (e.g. Acumen Fuse).
- Attend and lead meetings with clients and subcontractors to support project scheduling activities.
- Support risk management process by providing inputs into schedule risk analysis modeling.
- Continuously provide solutions and ideas to improve Project Controls Processes.
- Maintain the Enterprise Project Structure (EPS) and proper record keeping of backups.
- Create and maintain Project specific Schedule Management Plan.
- Provide subjectmatter expertise to project team on any customized reporting tools and dashboards.
- Provide mentorship & guidance to junior team members.
- Provide inputs and participates in Aecon Continuous Improvement processes and activities.
- Contribute to lessons learned and delivers presentations to raise Scheduling and Project Controls awareness for project teams.
All above must be:
- Communicated promptly to Project Management and Corporate Project Controls.
- Performed compliant to Aecon Project Controls standards guidelines industry best practices and Clients requirements.
- Assuring integrated Project Controls performance considering Cost Change and Risk Management and Reporting.
- In coordination with other departments; Commercial Design Procurement Construction Financeetc.
What You Bring To The Team
- Quantitative Engineering or Construction Management PostSecondary Degree University graduate preferred.
- Minimum experience of 10 years
- Proficient in Primavera P6 scheduling software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Previous exposure and experience in Outage/Maintenance/Turnaround scheduling.
- SAP and estimation software knowledge and experience preferred.
- EPC Contractor (SelfPerform) with experience in diverse types of contracts (Fixed Price T&Metc.
- Construction Field Experience
- Demonstrated Analytical Adaptive Thinking and strong Team Collaboration skills.
- Meticulous approach focused on quality.
- Strong Verbal & Written Communication Skills
- Agility & Flexibility in a Dynamic Environment with Innovative ProblemSolving Skills
- Project Controls Ambassador
- Megaproject or Portfolio Projects Experience
- Demonstrated Project Controls Technical Knowledge (e.g. via PMI or AACE Certification)
- Stakeholder Management Experience
- Strategic Orientation
- Claims Avoidance and/or Claims Negotiation Experience
