Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Design and analyse structures to ensure they are safe reliable and compliant with relevant codes and regulations.
- Create detailed structural drawings and specifications using CAD software.
- Perform calculations and simulations to assess structural stability and integrity.
- Ensure compliance with relevant building codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers architects and construction teams.
- Attend site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and provide technical guidance.
- Prepare reports and documentation for project files.
- Bachelors degree or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PrEng) certification or working towards certification.
- Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles codes and standards.
- The successful candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in the design and detailing of structures.
- Experience with structural analysis and design software; Sofistik FEM preferred.
- Proficiency in Revit and other design software/draughting packages.
- Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Experience working on a variety of projects such as residential commercial and industrial.
- Knowledge of construction materials methods and techniques.
- Experience in managing a design team.
