Education/Degree
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapyprogram.
Licensure
- Licensed (andin good standing) as an occupational therapist in the Commonwealth ofMassachusetts.
Skills(Specificlearned activity gained through training (e.g. computer skills keyboardingpresentation CPR ACLS etc.
- BLS required.
- Effectiveverbal and written communication skills with the English language.
- Basic skillsin math and computer science.
- Appropriateknowledge occupational therapy evaluation and treatment techniques to managethe rehabilitation population.
- Effectiveproblem solving skills for occupational therapy evaluation interpretationtreatment planning and taking into consideration patients age psychosocialcultural and religious background.
- Basic skillsin teaching other and self assessment of learning needs strengths andprofessional goals.
- Safely executeall job responsibilities without risking injury to self or patients. Ability to assess and interact with patientsand families using the theories of human growth and development familysystems and cultural background.
- Maintainvariable work schedule depending on hospital/program needs to provide patient care(evening holidays weekend and travel).
- Computerproficiency required. Microsoft officeapplications preferred with ability to learn new software.
