GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
Underthe direction of the MGPO Senior Finance Manager the Senior Financial Analyst willbe an integral part of both the Network Development & Integration and MGHTelehealth teams. The incumbent willplay a supportive role for the financial management and oversight reviewanalysis report and database development budget preparation and specialprojects for these departments.
Theideal candidate will serve as a business and financial liaison between MGPOFinance Network Development & Integration MGH TeleHealth and PartnersHealth Care Finance/Accounting.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be a key business partner providing financialand project management support to theDirectors of Network Development & Integration and MGH Telehealth.
- Develop and maintain open relationshipswith MGPO departments PHS Accounting IS as well as Practice and FinanceManagers.
- The Senior Financial Analyst will providehighlevel analyses for and research around a broad range of business issuesand will need to be able to independently and with due diligence perform workon all areas of responsibility.
- Working with key administrative leadersformulate and assist in the annual budget and forecasts on a modifiedcashbasis level.
- Monthly review analysis followupand (where required) reconciliation of all departments including revenue andcost drivers FTE analysis variance reports and analysis and deviations frombudgetary expectations.
- Analyze proposed operating requests;coordinate questions for discussion and participate in negotiation of budgetissues with management.
- Produce periodic PowerPointpresentations Word documents and other analyses for a wide audience to conveyfinancial results operating procedures or other such supporting informationin a wellformatted clear and compelling manner.
- Participate in development ofbusiness/financial models for specific initiatives and a wide variety ofspecial projects and in the evaluation of new business opportunities.
- Participate in the creation ofdashboards and reports that will help to assess the ROI of various businessopportunities
- Manage and update a RelationshipDatabase which outlines of all the contractual arrangements initiated by theNetwork Development and Integration department.Ensure Information in the database is aligned with other similarresources (i.e. MGPO Contracts Database)
- Develop process flows with key datareporting tasks and funds flow maps to appropriately track and manageoperational funds departmental contributions and physician payments
- Identify areas to streamline andimprove existing processes (e.g. payment processes financial and performancereporting provider compensation models etc); Propose recommendations inalignment with department and organizational goals
- Assist with the development of feestructures and contractual agreements for regional national and internationalpartners and clients
- Participate in monthly Close activatesas required to compile the journal entries as needed monthly quarterly and atyear end that will be loaded into the General Ledger System and communicatingwith various departments and entities to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Manage contractual invoicing and the openingof AP purchase orders and facilitating transactions processing in PeopleSoftetc.
- Other duties and Adhoc analysis asrequired.
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Demonstrate effectiveness in working in complex anddynamic environments and with complex systems.
Must have project management experience with an abilityto manage several projects across different departments simultaneously.
Ability to present and communicate knowledge andinformation with all levels of clinical and administrative staff in a clearconcise manner that is appropriate to the audience.
Must be capable of operating at both the strategic andtactical level.
Motivated selfstarter with an extreme attention todetail and data accuracy.
Ability and willingness to work independently and to takeinitiative when required.
Ability to work with individuals at various levels of theorganization.
- Analytical aptitude with the ability to create/extract/manipulate/analyzefinancial and operational data.
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
- A strong understanding of escrow accrual capital depreciation and any otherrelevant analyses.
- Financial and operational modeling skills.
- Ability to work with and learn multiple financial andreporting systems.
- Ability to build collaboration across the organization.
Bachelor of Arts or Science required preferably in Finance/Accounting
A minimum of 35 years of progressive financial and operational planning and analysis experience ideally in a Healthcare setting required.

Financial Analysis budgeting planning and reporting for a $950 million organization
Standard Office Setting with ability to work extended hours as necessary
Travel to any Partners facilities to attend offsite meetings
