The Role
This role within the Global Battery & Propulsion Engineering division offers the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative team focused on virtual process development and . Propulsion related thermal and multiphase flow simulations are the primary focus. 3D Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) models are used to directly impact design and eliminate hardware testing. Simulations are focused on electric motors drive units battery cells power electronics engine and transmission related components.
What Youll Do
Development of new and innovative CFD simulations related to electrification propulsion components
Collaboratively work in small teams focused on the development of complex multiphase flow and/or thermal simulations
Application of developed and developing capabilities to directly impact design manufacturing process and for the elimination of hardware testing
Provide componentlevel and/or systemlevel design recommendations to Design Responsible Engineers based on interpretation of analysis results
Participate in product design and development teams and present analysis results to engineering peers and management
Provide mentoring and technical assistance to colleagues
Provide technical insight for problem resolution by leveraging analysis results
Benchmarking and evaluation of new procedures technology or software tools
Contribute to the development of automation tools using Python or Java
