Description
NIGHT SHIFT: 3a11:30a rotating weekends and oncall
The primary responsibilities of our Phlebotomists are to collect and label specimens for testing maintain computerized records resolve and troubleshoot outstanding specimens/collections. In addition practice universal precautions barrier protection methods infection control and isolation procedures when working with body fluids and other contagia to ensure a safe work environment. This position is required to escalate issues problems and opportunities to supervisory level for resolution.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Completion of recognized Phlebotomy Certification program including clinical rotation externship preferred.
- Basic computer skills with ability to type minimum 35 words per minute required for clinic based positions and preferred for Hospital based
- Basic medical terminology and customer service skills expected.
