Job Description

Position Title: Internal Logistic Manager

Position Type: Regular FullTime

As Internal Logistic Manager / SuM Internal Logistic Lead you will be responsible for managing the flow of materials components and products within and outside the production facility ensuring efficient supply chain and internal material handling processes. You will report to Plant Manager / SuM Manager and work in close collaboration with the SuM Team Regional and Global Support Team and SupplyChain Team.

  • Material procurement and supply chain management
  • Goods receipt and warehouse management
  • Transport management
  • Packaging and shipping
  • Cost control
  • Documentation and reporting

Intralogistics:

  • Develop internal material flow
  • Warehouse management within the facility
  • Production supply
  • Inventory management
  • Material transport and handling
  • Continuous improvement

General Responsibilities:

Technical Expertise: Provide expert guidance and technical support to project teams regarding logistic design specifications equipment selection and installation requirements. Ensure of Readiness Checklist containing a very detailed list of activities leading to the creation of a similar system as in other McCain plants.

Collaboration: Collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams including project management operations procurement and external vendors to ensure seamless integration into project plans and timelines. Participate in Basic and Detailed Design reviews as well as URS P&ID FDS 3D model reviews with project and contractors teams to ensure optimal design from point of view of Logistics and in relation to Safety Ergonomics Food Safety Sustainability communication.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges related to logistic and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success and operational efficiency.

Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards codes and best practices related to logistic. Conduct quality assurance checks and inspections to verify compliance with design specifications and safety requirements at any stage: basic and detailed engineering FAT&Simulations CQV and processing French Fries

Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives in logistics processes systems and technologies to enhance efficiency reliability sustainability and build Plant of the Future.

Training and Development: Provide training and mentorship to logistic team members and project stakeholders to enhance technical capabilities and ensure alignment with company standards and best practices. Build Logistics organization (including optimization of staffing model and MDIxAI) and manage the organization according to McCain Logistics Standard Model

Safety focus: Lead the development of Procedures in line with McCains safety transformation and culture. Take in consideration the future Logistic and Operation users to deploy a proper approach while designing the technical solutions for Logistic.

Requirements:

  • Masters Degree preferably in Logistics Business or Engineering.
  • Understanding of the specific logistics requirements in food production
  • Ability to analyze logistics data and derive improvement measures
  • Planning and organizing logistics processes skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Ability to analyze complex logistics problems and develop effective solutions
  • Proficiency in logistics management software in WMS und ERPSysteme
  • Collaboration: Regarded as a constructive team player and have a strong sense of partnership behavior
  • Analytical & strategic thinking: Disciplined data oriented to gain competitive advantage (should cost modeling & TCO approach) and able to think strategically by planning for the long term
  • 1st class interpersonal communication skills: Ability to communicate within a complex organization environment
  • Ability to influence challenge and negotiate with a wide range of knowledgeable stakeholders (suppliers and

colleagues at board level)

Creative & Flexible: able to evaluate opportunities and respond to changing requirements in a volatile environment (agility)

Ability to recommend approve and implement business allocations

Diversity mindset: Ability to manage in a matrix organization and across regions and cultures

Fluency in German and English; additional languages such as French or Dutch is a plus.
