Student Summer Employment Opportunity Public Works Labourer 1 position)
This position is responsible for daytoday work tasks operations and projects of the public works department in regards to summer road maintenance ditch and culvert maintenance grass and maintenance related construction activities equipment maintenance emergency response functions and related duties and services. Deals with the public in a courteous and respectful manner.
Successful candidates will work 30 to 40 hours per week and be required to be available during weekends.
Position Requirements:
- Full time student in the past academic year and returning to full time studies in the fall of 2025
Completed their 2024/2025 school term A valid Ontario drivers license (Class G or G2 preferred
Be between 16 and 30 years of age
Canadian citizens permanent residents or have refugee protection status under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
Legally entitled to work in Canada
Be able to work days and weekends during the period of April 14 to August 26th 2025 (Dates subject to change)
Rate of pay is $17.20/hour
