Who are we looking for
GHDis seeking aCoastal Engineerto join our growing practice in our Maritime & Coastal (M&C) group on the West Coast. As a Coastal Engineer you will be a technical team member on the engineering design analyses for preparation of reports plans and technical specifications and postconstruction monitoring for a diverse portfolio of projects.You will have the opportunity to work on projects such as coastal waterfront and municipal infrastructure improvements and restoration projects. The successful candidate will have strong written and oral communication skills selfmotivated and active networker who values building credible relationships with clients and the community.

Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Collaborate with fellow engineers and scientists on a wide range of coastal / civil engineering projects.
- Contribute to development of technical reports analyses plans and specifications.
- Maintain open communication with project teams and M&C group members.
- Coordinate and work with crossdiscipline teams on other market sector projects.
- Support pursuit/proposal efforts developing scope schedule and budget.
- Provide mentorship and development advice to junior level staff.
- Interact with clients suppliers and regulators and manage tasks and projects to successful completion.
- Keep up to date with technical qualifications and licenses.
- Get involved! Involve yourself in local committees action groups and special interest organizations with a view towards furthering your own skills and brand recognition for GHD.
- Stay current and well advised on M&C market trends client spending assets resiliency and logistics.

What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelors Degree in Civil / Coastal Engineering from an accredited university or Bachelors Degree in Marine Biology / Oceanography with a Masters in Civil / Coastal Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of prior consulting experience
- Registered Professional Engineer in CApreferred but not required
- Knowledge of coastal processes and use of numerical modeling methods and applicable software such as of matlab python and other programming language
- Dedicated to managing time handling priorities and working in a fastpaced environment
- Ability to excel in a multidisciplinary team environment as well as independently
- Attention to detail and ability to complete diverse assignments

Salary Range: $86000 $129000 based on experience.
