Job Description
Job Summary:
On behalf of our client we are looking for a qualified and experienced Materials Engineer to oversee material analysis selection and quality control in their construction projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong civil engineering background. Also will play a key role in ensuring all construction materials meet quality standards improve durability and support project sustainability goals.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the site laboratory and ensure all experiments and testing are performed according to specifications
- Ensure implementation and compliance with all QA/QC procedures on the project
- Monitor and ensure proper calibration of testing equipment as per approved technical standards
- Evaluate construction materials to verify compliance with industry and project specifications
- Oversee proper storage labeling and organization of approved material samples on site
- Conduct material failure analysis and provide technical solutions or recommendations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering Materials Science or a related field
- Must be a registered Civil Engineer
- Minimum of seven (7) years of specialized experience in material-related work within construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction materials (e.g. concrete asphalt aggregates) and international standards (ASTM BS etc.)
- Experience working in laboratory environments with material testing responsibilities
