About the Opportunity
This is an opportunity for a skilled and proactive HR Generalist to join our clients HR team. The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting the human resources department by managing a variety of HR functions including recruitment employee relations benefits administration compliance and training. This position requires a versatile individual who can handle daytoday HR tasks while contributing to the development and implementation of HR policies and programs. This is a fulltime inoffice role based in their HQ in Midtown Manhattan.
About the Company
Our client is the US subsidiary of a prominent Japanese real estate company. They are responsible for the companys real estate investment and development activities in North America and is headquartered in New York. Our client currently owns over 5000 operating apartments with an additional 6000 units in development; almost 10 million square feet of commercial space with over 4 million square feet in development; and over 750 hotel rooms. Their primary investment objective is joint venture equity investments in multifamily office life science and mixeduse developments with bestinclass partners.
Role and Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist in job postings candidate screening interviews and the onboarding process for new hires
Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries mediate workplace conflicts and promote a positive work environment
Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits programs including enrollment updates and communication with vendors
Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal state and local employment laws and regulations including maintaining accurate employee records.
Training & Development: Coordinate employee training programs and assist in performance management processes.
Payroll Support: Collaborate with payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee compensation and updates.
Policy Implementation: Assist in developing updating and enforcing HR policies and procedures.
Reporting: Prepare HRrelated reports such as headcount turnover and diversity metrics as needed.
Special Projects: Participate in HR initiatives such as employee engagement programs or teambuilding efforts.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills. The ability to gather organize and clearly summarize information
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
Independent and selfmotivated but able to function well in a collaborative collegial environment
Well organized with attention to detail
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
Japanese speaking is a bonus (although not required)
