Job Description

Position Title: Mechanical Engineer (HVAC & Revit)
Location: Hybrid 3 days inoffice Flexible scheduling options
Job Type: FullTime

About the Role

Were looking for a Mechanical Engineer who brings solid HVAC design experience and a collaborative bigpicture mindset. Youll join a wellbalanced experienced team where culture fit matters just as much as technical chops. If you enjoy mentoring junior staff working on complex projects like data centers and solving problems not just following instructions this could be the role for you.

This position offers a hybrid schedule 3 inoffice days/week) and the opportunity to take on diverse and challenging design projects with support from a friendly knowledgeable team.

What Youll Do

HVAC System Design & Engineering

  • Design and develop HVAC systems for commercial and missioncritical facilities (data center experience is a plus).

  • Perform load calculations equipment selection and layout ductwork and piping.

  • Produce detailed system schematics and construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD.

Project Coordination

  • Work closely with architects engineers and contractors to ensure seamless MEP integration.

  • Review submittals RFIs and participate in site visits as needed.

  • Ensure designs align with client expectations budgets and project timelines.

Revit & BIM Collaboration

  • Model HVAC systems in Revit ensuring coordination with other disciplines (structural electrical plumbing etc..

  • Resolve design clashes and participate in BIM coordination meetings.

Mentorship & Team Development

  • Serve as a mentor to junior engineers and designers.

  • Provide technical guidance and contribute to the firms internal knowledge sharing.

Codes & Quality

  • Ensure all designs adhere to current codes and standards (ASHRAE NFPA local/state energy codes etc..

  • Stay up to date with emerging best practices and technologies in HVAC and mechanical design.

What Were Looking For

Education & Credentials

  • Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

  • EIT required; PE license preferred (or the ability to obtain in the near future).

Experience

  • 515 years of HVAC design experience across commercial and/or data center projects.

  • Experience mentoring or leading junior team members is a big plus.

  • Proficient in Revit AutoCAD and load calculation software (Trane Trace Carrier HAP etc..

Soft Skills

  • Outgoing personable and easy to work with.

  • A proactive thinker who enjoys solving problems and collaborating with a team.

  • Not looking to fasttrack into project management but open to growing into leadership naturally.
