Clinical Performance and Safety Specialist Trainer

CBI is the premiere nonprofit fully integrated healthcare provider of substance use and behavioral health programs in Arizona including prevention education and treatment using cuttingedge nationally recognized evidencebased models.


Job Summary

The Performance and Safety Specialist (PASS) is responsible for the initial and ongoing monitoring of skills and knowledge of employees assigned to his or her site. Will work closely with the Operations Administrator Director of Nursing Clinical Administrator and Medical Director in monitoring each units safety practices and training needs. In this role the PASS team member will assist in the development and monitoring of each units training plan

Education and Experience Required

  • Highschool diploma or GED required. Associates Degree or higher preferred.
  • 25 years of experience in the health care field required.
  • 13 years of experience in a training or education role preferred.
  • Minimum of six months of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders preferred.
  • Emergency Medical Technician certification (valid within the state of Arizona) is preferred but not required for this position.
  • Certified Nurse Assistant certification (current and valid within the State of Arizona) is preferred but not required of this position.
  • Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) in accordance with A.A.C. R910101.33 and CBI Clinical Policies and Procedures.
  • Current AZ Drivers License (valid and in good standing).
  • Clear 39month Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
