SUMMARY

The position reports to the Application Development and Integrations Manager within the City of Charlottes Innovation and Technology (I&T) department specifically under the Enterprise Applications division. The Boomi Integration Engineer/Developer (Application Administrator Sr. will be responsible for developing new solutions and refactoring existing ones using the Boomi platform. This is a handson role within the Citys integration team and the administrator will oversee the implementation of future middleware solutions.

The Boomi Integration Engineer/Developer must have strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal customers colleagues and managers. Engaging with customers is a key aspect of this role along with the ability to manage work intake and prioritize tasks in a fastpaced dynamic environment.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Expert on integration general principles
  • Complete understanding of SOA architecture
  • Identifies and researches future systems technology and serves as subject matter expert on the Boomi platform.
  • Ensures Windows and BizTalk patches are applied appropriately.
  • Design and implement solutions and refine procedures as appropriate.
  • Evaluate software troubleshoot problems and provide technical expertise for optimal performance of equipment.
  • Provide technical consultation on current and proposed platformbased solutions.
  • Develop proposals and work estimates for changes to application functions or processes.
  • Understands and implements Microsoft best practices.
  • Leads technical assessments with partner agenciesin identifying business requirements; ensures delivered solutions meet performance expectations.
  • Develops and maintains purposebased documentation which can range from highlevel diagrams to highly technical detailed system schematics & troubleshooting guides.
  • Develops and maintains build documentation for application installation and configuration.
  • Evaluate new application technologies and make recommendations when those would provide a better value to the organization.
  • Interacts with stakeholders technology peers and other departments to identify opportunities and drive growth.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills.
  • Performs related work as required.





KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Experience with one or more Boomi technologies (Flow Integration Master Data Hub EDI)
  • 4 years of Boomi experience and with an overall experience of 8 years with other middleware Mulesoft BizTalk etc...
  • Must have experience of patching and upgrading Microsoft software such as Windows Server
  • Understanding of PL/SWL (Oracle) and TransactSQL (Microsoft)
  • Must have experience developing software using XLANG/s (Biztalk) XSLT Extensible Stylesheet Language (XSL); Powershell Visual Studio and XML
  • Some skills in developing software using .NET framework (C# VB
  • Knowledge of source code control procedures (Git bitbucket TFS)
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
  • Experience and knowledge in data analysis mapping and ETL development
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP Networking
  • Performing various duties often changing from one task to another of a different nature; Ability to selforganize to meet schedules and deadlines of the work.
  • Knowledge of messagebased implementations and their use cases
  • API Development Experience and knowledge of best practices
  • Experience working in an Agile Environment
  • Enterpriselevel integration experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (No Editing)

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field
  • Five 5 to Seven 7 years of experience in applications/systems administration including specific experience with the type of system being administered (ERP CRM CAD etc.
  • Any equivalent combination of training education and experience that provides the required skills knowledge and abilities.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
