Splunk Systems Engineering Senior Advisor

Peraton is looking for a fully cleared System Engineer & Splunk Administrator to support a highimpact cyber mission locationout of Annapolis Junction MD. Youll maintain and modernize Splunk infrastructure enhance security and optimize system performance.

What Youll Do:

• Maintain & Upgrade Splunk infrastructure ensuring peak performance.
• Support Splunk Enterprise Security and troubleshoot logs in a dynamic enterprise environment.
• Build & Modernize a nextgen Splunk instance improving system capabilities.
• Design & Optimize architectures dashboards and data modeling solutions.
• Develop SOA Solutions & ensure interoperability with DoD standards.
• Mitigate Risk using modeling simulations and alternative system designs.
• Lead & Innovate in system trade analyses integration strategies and lifecycleplanning.

Desired Experience and Skillset needed for this role:

• Experience with largescale multimedia & multilingual content processing systems.

• Expertise in distributed peertopeer storage with 500 nodes.

• Proficiency in metadata indexing summarization and analytics.

• Strong background in system performance scalability and security.

• Skilled in technical documentation and training.

• Experience leading agile/spiral development models.

• Integration of COTS and GOTS products from multiple vendors.

• Knowledge of distributed storage routing & querying algorithms.

• Implementation of storage area networks data warehouses and data marts.

• Optimization of global storage retrieval backup and retention strategies.

• Experience with clustered or cloud storage deployments.

• Strong crossteam collaboration and user interaction skills.

• Expertise in secure compliant solution planning.

• Knowledge of HDFS Hadoop HBase/Accumulo and Big Table internals.

Position Requirements:

• Active TS/SCI securityclearance with a current polygraph is required.
• Twenty 20 years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope type and complexity is . Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is .
• Bachelors degree in System Engineering Computer Science Information Systems Engineering Science Engineering Management or related discipline from an accredited college or university is .
