Boeing Aerostructures Australia is seeking a wellrounded and highly motivated Configuration Management Specialist to join our Port Melbourne team to support our Boeing products.
This role is based at our Port Melbourne facility and is 100 onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the Configuration and Data Management plans processes and procedures in accordance with business and contractual requirements
- Maintain the programs product definition and design data technical baselines engineering changes and current approved configuration in the configuration status accounting tools
- Perform lifecycle management of engineering changes including participation in the Change Control Boards and acting as release authority for design data
- Effectively interface with project team members and our customers
- Participate in product technical design reviews and audits as required
- Limited administrative support for the team
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role preferably within a design manufacturing or maintenance industry;
- Experience in managing configuration of products in a Product Lifecycle Management system electronic document management system or similar;
- Experience interpreting Engineering drawings 3D CAD and Specifications is preferred
- Formal Configuration Management training / certification is preferred
Please note that applicant must hold Australian Citizenship to meet defence security requirements.
Additional Information: This is an award position classified as an Aerospace Technician 3A. The successful candidate will be required to complete background checks including medical and is applicable to a 3month probationary period.
