Job Description
Position: Junior Python Developer
Location: New York City NY
Client: DXC/Mizuho
Rate: Rate: $40

NYC local hiring only.
Project description:
This hybrid role in Midtown Manhattan involves developing and maintaining quantitative models and tools to support the trading strategies and risk management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with senior quants developers and traders to design develop and maintain Pythonbased quantitative models and tools
Implement and optimize algorithms for trading strategies and risk management
Develop and support realtime data processing and analytics systems
Write clean efficient and welldocumented code following best practices in software development
Skills Must have:
Qualifications: Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or a related field.
13 years of fulltime handson experience in a related role
SQL development and Python programming
Strong proficiency in SQL (writing complex queries performance tuning and creating stored procedures)
Knowledge of financial data systems trading platforms and market data is a significant advantage
Basic knowledge of financial markets and quantitative finance
Strong problemsolving and analytical thinking skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a crossfunctional team
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment
Detailoriented with a focus on data accuracy and performance optimization
Nice to have:
Understanding of market data feeds and APIs (e.g. Bloomberg Reuters)
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes)
Knowledge of machine learning techniques and libraries (e.g. scikitlearn TensorFlow)
