Job Description
The Lake JosephClub is Hiring!
The Horticulturalist/Gardener is responsible for the enhancement and quality of the landscaped areas at the ClubLink property. This position offers you the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while being exposed to all facets of gardening.
Responsibilities:
- Aid in the design of new gardens.
- Prune fertilize and apply other gardening techniques as required.
- Advise obtain quotes and assist in the purchasing of horticultural tools supplies and materials.
- Select the appropriate plants for new and existing gardens at the Club.
- Spray plants to control pests and diseases.
- Plant and maintain all gardens to the high standards of ClubLink.
- Create and implement a fiveyear plan for oncourse gardens and native areas.
- Keep accurate records of tasks and duties performed.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge understanding and experience working in all areas of garden design and plants.
- Diploma or certificate in horticulture or equivalent considered an asset.
- A selfstarter and able to work independently with minimal instructions.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Have both excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High regard for the health and safety of self and others.
