Summary:
Under the direction of the Early Childhood Education Coordinator the Early Childhood Education Coach serves as the assistant program coordinator for the divisions preschool program including under the Virginia Preschool Initiative and early childhood special education. The coach serves as an instructional leader who is a leader in instructional planning and delivery processes instructional coaching and professional development. Knowledgeable in current research best practices for supporting the needs of preschool students the Coach also supports in the development of program recommendations curriculum selection and ongoing monitoring of student achievement indicators.

Qualifications:
Endorsement in PK3 PK4 PK6 or related area and Masters degree with a minimum of five years teaching experiences required. Experience teaching in a public PK program prior instructional leadership experience with endorsement in early childhood special education preferred.

exhibit manual dexterity to dial a telephone to enter data into a computer terminal and to perform; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Salary:
Range based on theTeacher Salary Scale is $53000 $82843 per year with additional stipend for degree and pay for 10 extra days.
