Job Description
Overview
Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer focusing on Collaboration to support an Intelligence Community Customers Crisis Management System.
The right candidate will possess the following skills and capabilities and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.
Responsibilities
- Oversees the configuring managing monitoring and maintaining government Command and Control (C2 voice and video collaboration devices.
- Subject matter expert for architecting implementing testing and troubleshooting enterprise collaboration solutions supporting an operational voice and video network.
- Develops collaboration architecture designs studies and plans; supports design test readiness and operational readiness reviews.
- Provides senior program managers with recommendations on voice and video collaboration approaches and strategies for new and continued business.
- Develops implements and manages voice and video collaboration processes including design standards to ensure compliancerelevancy and sustainability.
- Performs capacity planning of the collaboration services by monitoring and analyzing network performance and availability of voice and video services.
- Researches and evaluates tools and technologies as appropriate to the collaboration environment while developing solutions to increase performance and lower the total cost of ownership.
- Provides Tier III and IV support by providing trouble resolution of the voice and video infrastructure and perform oncall duties and offhours support when needed.
- Flexible with scheduled support of outages after hours and on weekends.
Qualifications
Clearance Required: TS/SCI. Must be willing to obtain PSD clearance.
Degree and Years of Experience:Bachelors degree with communications focus or equivalent plus 10 Years of Experience in networking architecture/design development and implementation of voice and video collaboration architectures.
Required Certifications:
- Cisco Certified Collaboration Expert (CCCE) Cisco Certified Voice Expert (CCVE) Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE) or Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) certification.
- IAT Level 3 Certification or IAM Level 3 compliant professional certification (i.e. CISSP CISM GSLC GCIH CISA GCED or SCNA).
Skill Requirements:
- Must have experience and understanding with the future of Ciscos SIP and Cisco Unified Communications Manager.
- Must have proven ability to architect implement and support video infrastructure solutions for conferencing gateway transit and mobile platforms.
- In depth implementation and troubleshooting experience of collaboration using concepts/protocols such as H.263 H.264 bandwidth resolutions and frame rates frame picture formats HDMI resolutions G7.xx audio frame rates voice and video encryption and device certificates.
- Experience with voice and video collaboration systems such as the CUCM UCS platform CMS Meeting Server Telepresence Management System Video Communication Servers Multicontroller Units and Voice Gateways.
- RedCom and Cisco Suite experience.
- Experience withNetwork Engineering CollaborationCCNA CCNPVariphy Cisco CDR Reporting and Call AnalyticsSigma Phone ConferencingCisco Prime ProvisioningCisco Call ManagerCisco HyperFlexCisco Prime Collaboration AssuranceRedcom Sigma Core andRedcom Slice.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- BSEE BSCE or BSCS with networking focus and a minimum of 12 years relevant networking experience.
- Experience with AMX.
- Exceptional verbal written (including the development of procedural documentation) interpersonal and presentation skills desired.
- Experience with voice and video performance management tools security tools and appliances layer two technologies wireless communications and firewall/gateway traversals is preferred.
- Experience working in a lab development environment performing testing and development functions.
- Selfdriven and resourceful in achieving goals independently as well as in cooperation with others.
- Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements schedules and priorities.
- The ability to socialize ideas make recommendations and gather team consensus to move forward.
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals such as network protocols and common services (e.g. DNS FTP SSH SNMP).
- Previous experience supporting a Government and/or Department of Defense customer.
- Experience with application of DoD IAVAs DISA STIGs and NIST security controls.
