efficient care to individuals families communities and patient populations. The RNs care delivery is consistent with the Oregon Nurse Practice Act the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice and the ANA Code of Ethics and meets the standards/expectations of a Professional Practice Model. In that model the RN demonstrates the professional role obligations of scientist leader practitioner and knowledge transferor. Professional accountability enriches the RNs engagement as a leader in promoting an interprofessional culture of collaborative decisionmaking i nnovation lifelong learning and teamwork.
The nurse in this position will provide comprehensive care to home infusion patients in an outpatient setting including but not limited to the administration of antibiotics immunologics TPN chemotherapy and supportive care. The RN will be required to travel to the patients home and various locations in order to provide infusion therapy. The nurse will be assigned to coordinate care and ensure the patient and family are receiving OHSUs highest quality of nursing care. This nurse will provide availability in accordance with ONA contract guidelines with the expectation of fulfilling two shifts/month one of which will include one Saturday per department need and set forth staffing plan.
Communication skills including
fluency in oral and written English. Basic computer skills including the ability to send/receive email navigate information technology associated with the position and use Electronic Health Record information and tools.
