Job Description
Moulding Maintenance Manager ensures molds in a plant are in good condition and can reach their target uptime focusing on breakdown and preventive maintenance training employees and supporting production changeovers.
Heres a more detailed breakdown of the role:
Key Responsibilities:
Mould Maintenance:
Preventive Maintenance: Implementing and managing a schedule for regular maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal mold performance.
Corrective Maintenance: Addressing and resolving issues with molds including repairs and replacements.
Breakdown Maintenance: Responding quickly to mold failures and ensuring minimal downtime.
Troubleshooting: Identifying and diagnosing the root causes of mold problems.
Team Management:
Training and Supervision: Training and supervising maintenance staff on mold maintenance procedures and troubleshooting techniques.
Performance Management: Evaluating employee performance and identifying areas for improvement.
Resource Management: Ensuring the availability of necessary spare parts tools and equipment.
Production Support:
Changeover Support: Assisting production teams with mold changeovers ensuring smooth transitions and minimal downtime.
Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance mold performance and reduce costs.
Other Responsibilities:
Coordination: Coordinating with other departments such as engineering and production to ensure smooth operations.
Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities including repairs inspections and spare parts inventory.
Safety: Ensuring that all maintenance activities are conducted safely and in accordance with company policies and regulations.
