Job Description
Key responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain RHEL systems across development testing and production
environments - Design implement and support OpenShift container platforms
- Administer and troubleshoot JBoss application servers
- Utilise Red Hat Satellite for system provisioning patching and configuration
management - Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Perform system upgrades patches and maintenance tasks
- Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations and processes
- Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment and
operations - Participate in oncall rotations for critical system support
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or related field
- 5 years of experience in Unix/Linux administration with a focus on RHEL system
administration and troubleshooting - Experience in supporting Messaging Queue platforms (e.g. IBM MQ Active MQ etc.
- Strong knowledge of OpenShift container platform administration
- Proficiency in using Red Hat Satellite for system management
- Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash) and at least one programming language (e.g.
Python) - Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible Puppet)
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging solutions (e.g. Zabbix ELK stack
