A financial institution is recruiting a resultsdriven Team Lead to oversee the strategic rollout of its Investment Loan product. The successful candidate will be responsible for orchestrating endtoend sales operations driving the achievement of loan disbursement targets and cultivating and maintaining robust relationships with small and medium enterprise (SME) owners and petty traders. The Team Lead will also focus on optimising the conversion of leads while maintaining high operational standards.
This role is perfect for someone who has a hustler mindset with experience working in island markets (Sura Sandgrouse Idumota Jankara Oluwole Urban Ebute Ero and Balogun). It is not a typical team lead role but provides an opportunity to gain firsthand mentorship from a successful finance executive looking to provide financial products to the most deserving.
You will oversee and grow the loan portfolio by identifying new opportunities expanding partnerships and ensuring strong performance.
You will build and nurture longterm relationships with market sellers to promote and sustain the Loan product.
Act as the primary point of contact for SME and market seller partners addressing queries resolving concerns and strengthening partnerships.
Lead sales efforts to achieve and exceed identified targets.
Develop and implement strategies to drive loan uptake and enhance customer retention.
Regularly track and analyse sales performance data adjusting tactics to ensure alignment with organisational objectives.
Ensure all loan disbursements and customer engagements comply with internal risk management policies and external regulatory requirements.
Prepare and present detailed weekly and monthly reports on customer engagement loan performance and portfolio growth.
You are entrepreneurial and a selfstarter with 23 years experience in sales business development or relationship management.
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Management or a related field (preferred).
You have a proven track record of managing and growing loan portfolios particularly in Microfinance.
Experience or interest in developing partnerships with SMEs and petty traders.
You are an exceptional leader and a great manager.
Your negotiation persuasion and relationshipbuilding skills are strong.
You have a high level of integrity and commitment to ethical practices.
You are willing to work flexible days including weekends and holidays as the need arises.
NGN150000 base pay.
