You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are hiring a Senior Bakery and Pastry Leader well presentableorientedexperiecned with leadership qualities for one of our leading client in MucatOman.The Baker and Pastry Leader is a handson creative culinary professional who will oversee and elevate Kaias bakery and pastry offerings. This role involves curating and executing a wide range of exquisite baked goods and desserts ensuring they align with Kaia s culinary philosophy fresh refined and made with passion. The ideal candidate will bring at least 2 to 4 years of experience leadership and a keen eye for detail while inspiring and guiding a small talented team. As a Senior Baker and Pastry Leader you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional bakery and dessert experiences for our guests.
Lead Daily Operations: Oversee the production and inhouse bakery and dessert menu including breads pastries cakes and plated desserts ensuring consistency and excellence.
Menu Development: Innovate and test seasonal menu items and signature baked goods that reflectdistinctive culinary identity and elevate our offerings.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Executive Chef to ensure cohesive flavors presentation and menu balance that align with the overall concept of Kaia.
Team Leadership and Training: Mentor train and motivate the bakery team to foster skill development consistency and uphold the highest standards of quality in every product.
Quality Control: Supervise the quality control of baked goods portioning and presentation to ensure that each item is crafted to perfection and reflects Kaia s values of excellence.
Ingredient Sourcing: Manage sourcing of ingredients with an emphasis on selecting natural local and highquality products to ensure the best results in every bake.
Recipe Documentation and Cost Control: Maintain accurate recipe documentation manage cost controls and ensure proper inventory systems are in place to minimize waste and ensure efficiency.
Food Safety and Hygiene: Ensure strict compliance with all food safety hygiene and sanitation protocols including HACCP standards to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Special Events and Custom Orders: Assist with special events private gatherings and custom pastry or dessert requests as needed ensuring personalized and highquality offerings for all occasions.
Experience: At least 2 to 4 years of experience as a baker and pastry chef with prior experience in a leadership role managing teams and overseeing production in a busy highvolume kitchen.
Skills: Strong technical skills in baking and pastry preparation with a creative flair and attention to detail. Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage time effectively.
Leadership: Proven ability to inspire train and develop a small team while maintaining high standards in all aspects of production.
Culinary Knowledge: Expertise in a wide range of baked goods including artisan breads pastries cakes plated desserts and seasonal creations.
Passion for Excellence: A commitment to delivering exceptional highquality products with a focus on both taste and visual appeal.
Food Safety: Knowledge and adherence to food safety standards with a strong understanding of HACCP protocols.
Communication: Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with the head chef and other kitchen staff to maintain seamless operations.
Salary: 200 OMR to 250 OMR
