Raise awareness and bring measurable change to the City of Newcastle (CN) in this exciting new Graduate Waste Program Officer role! We are looking for an environmental educational or environmental science graduate to learn grow and strategise alongside the team in this waste and sustainability focused role.
Join the team and put your degree qualification into practise as the new Graduate Waste Program Officer. In this role you will be advising researching and assisting with the development and management of CNs waste education programs and initiatives. The successful candidate will be continuous improvement focused have a growth mindset be able to prioritise workload and have excellent researching and reporting skills.
You will assist with the project management of waste programs and distributing communications/advice to the business while always striving to enhance the identity of the Waste Service Business Unit. You will also help the Waste Service Business Unit achieve State resource recovery targets and aspirational internal targets as outlined in CNs Waste and Resource Management Services Strategy (Waste Strategy) Behaviour Change Program and Climate Action Plan. The chosen candidate will see success by delivering consistent exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Remuneration: $82981.04 17.5 annual leave loading yearly payment 11.5 Superannuation per annum for a 35hour week
