The Role
As the Senior Privacy Compliance Specialist within SEEKs Data Management & Privacy team you will be tasked to ensure SEEK meets its privacy and compliance obligations promoting trust and accountability throughout the organization. Reporting to the Head of Data Management & Privacy you will drive ongoing operational excellence and continuous improvement in privacy practices across SEEK. The role will be responsible for the endtoend process of data collection analysis and reporting through to preparing the content ready for presentation to senior stakeholders for example to the Technology Leadership Team Data Trust Committee and the Audit & Risk Management Committee.
Key Responsibilities
Privacy Compliance
Responsible for privacy compliance monitoring audit monitoring and reporting across SEEK.
Support the adoption of SEEK privacy policies and standards.
Proactively identify track and mitigate privacy risks and issues engaging stakeholders in the decisionmaking process.
Collaborate with SEEKs Legal & Risk Management team to ensure the privacy compliance remains robust and responsive.
Champion process automation and workflow enhancements to improve privacy management efficiency.
Proactively drive SEEKs BAU Privacy Compliance as new policies and requirements are enacted.
Privacy Operations
Lead data privacy impact assessments for new and existing business processes and technology initiatives
Assist with maintenance and updates to privacy policies procedures and compliance frameworks
Monitor privacy regulatory changes analyse impacts and advise business units accordingly
Design and deliver privacy training and awareness programs SEEKwide.
Assist with complex data subject rights requests and respond to privacyrelated inquiries
Collaborate effectively across relevant business functions such as IT Legal Security Risk Product Sales and Commercial to drive cohesive and comprehensive privacy outcomes.
Qualifications :
Team Collaboration
This influential role with require close collaboration stakeholders across the SEEK to uphold privacy standards and compliance
Essential Qualifications Skills and Experience
3 years working in privacy or data protection roles
Strong knowledge of at least one privacy regime (e.g. PDPA GDPR CCP PIPL)
Knowledge of compliance frameworks controls and regulatory environments
Experience implementing privacy programs frameworks and controls
Experience with privacy by design principles in product development
Demonstrated success building productive relationships with senior stakeholders managing conflicts and providing sound advice influencing strategic decisions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to drive clear authoritative communications to diverse audiences.
Experience developing streamlined privacy operations
Other Qualifications Skills and Experience
Successful record of meeting deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
Great time management prioritisation and followup skills.
Proven exposure to multiple privacy jurisdictions.
Additional Information :
The Team
This role supports the Data Management/Governance & Privacy Function and Practices Function. The role also contributes to the Data Trust Committee and Citizenship Committee. Other forums and committees will be established during the build out of the framework and function including Data Quality forums for example.
The extended team will span Melbourne New Zealand Singapore Kuala Lumpur Thailand Indonesia Philippines and Hong Kong.
