SysOps Engineer

By joining us as a System Operations Engineer you will be responsible for managing and maintaining infrastructure ensuring the smooth operation of the applications and supporting the development teams. This role involves a combination of system administration automation and incident management.

As a System Operations Engineer you will:

• Perform routine upgrades and version management for operating systems and applications.
• Apply security updates and patches to ensure system integrity.
• Manage system resources efficiently to ensure optimal performance.
• Implement and maintain backup and recovery procedures.
• Monitor system performance using tools like ELK stack and troubleshoot issues.
• Manage user accounts permissions and access controls to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
• Investigate and resolve incidents at both System and Application level and create documentation.
• Develop and maintain scripts to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency.
• Use tools like Ansible for configuration management and automation.
• Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations processes and procedures.

Qualifications :

What would make you a fit for the role:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or other related fields.
• At least 2 years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of system administration including upgrades security updates and resource management.
• Experience in using scripting languages (e.g. Bash Python) for automation.
• Experience with configuration management and automation tools like Ansible.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline tools and processes.
• Good understanding of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
• Experience with monitoring tools (ELK stack).
• Good problemsolving skills communication and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent knowledge of English

It would also be a plus if you match some of the following:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
• Understanding of network security and best practices.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies
• Familiarity with managing Apache Kafka clusters.
