Responsibilities:
- Prepare small (less than 200L) and large 200L500L) volume buffers and tissue culture media according to standard operating procedures for various R&D science lines and pilot manufacturing.
- Set up operate and assess nonGMP unit operations including bioreactors centrifugation filtration chromatography ultrafiltration/diafiltration and final fill processes.
- Perform CleaninPlace (CIP) SterilizeinPlace (SIP) aseptic sampling parts washing inventory management documentation work order generation and data entry/evaluation.
- Conduct algebraic mathematical calculations to determine molarity molality and percentages.
- Calculate volumes of solution components based on mathematical calculations.
Qualifications :
Ideal Candidate Experience:
- Buffer and media preparation (small & large volumes) for R&D and pilot manufacturing
- NonGMP unit operations: bioreactors centrifugation filtration chromatography ultrafiltration/diafiltration final fill
- CIP/SIP aseptic sampling parts washing inventory management documentation
- Work order generation data entry evaluation
- Algebraic calculations: molarity molality percentages solution component volumes
Minimum Qualifications:
- HS Diploma 2 years in a lab/manufacturing environment (bioprocess/chemical process) or AS in a scientific field with related experience
- Teamwork in a matrix environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to interface with automated systems
- Commitment to safety
- Independent work and adaptability to changing priorities
- Knowledge of continuous improvement tools (LEAN/Six Sigma 5S)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Physical Requirements:
- Stand for over 85 of work in an indoor lab environment
- Walk between buildings and up/down stairs
- Bend at knees and waist for lifting activities
- Transport items up to 500 lbs with assisted equipment
- Move raw materials/media powders (up to 90 lbs) and liquid stocks (up to 20L) with assisted lifting equipment
- Handle hazardous materials with personal protective equipment adhering to GLP

Additional Details:
The position is fulltime onsite MonFri 6:30 am2:30 pm. Overtime will be required on a rotational basis to cover weekend Bioreactor sampling and occasional offshift operations. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Andover MA and the surrounding areas are encouraged to apply.
