As a Visa Software Engineer you will be a key member of a crossfunctional development team inventing designing building and testing software products for a worldwide customer base. The Work:

• Develop code and systems impacting 40 of the global population while influencing Visa internal standards for scalability security and reusability

• Collaborate across teams to create design artifacts and develop bestinclass software solutions for various Visa technical offerings

• Drive product quality improvements enhance service technology and innovate business flows within diverse agile teams

• Create robust scalable products for a wide range of customers

• Utilize cuttingedge technologies to build nextgeneration Payment Services Transaction Platforms RealTime Analytics and others contributing to company growth

Essential Functions:

• Aligns enhancements and modifications to existing software coding standard processes and design specifications across regions and ensures they are aligned with current security standards.

• Guides the implementation of automation to improve effectiveness and efficiencies of systems and tools across regions and supports development and implementation of new automation identifying where investment will yield the greatest efficiencies.

• Maintains communication with regional leadership across functions to monitor and direct the cadence of code reviews oncall rotations and incident responses throughout product development and operations cycles.

• Leverages backend technical expertise on underlying systems/platforms across the organization to lead the development systematic improvements in processes to ensure the fulfillment of customer/business objectives.

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications
10 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 7
years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD
MD) or 4 years of work experience with a PhD OR 13 years of relevant work
experience.

Preferred Qualifications
12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 810 years of
experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 6 years
of work experience with a PhD
Master degree in Math Science Engineering or Computer Science Information
Systems or related field AND minimum seven 7 years of experience in a
directly related field. OR
Bachelor degree in Math Science Engineering or Computer Science
Information Systems or related field AND minimum nine 9 years of
experience in a directly related field. OR
Minimum twelve 12 years of directly related experience.
Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS Azure Google Cloud).
Strong understanding of Generative AI and its applications.
Experience with Agentic Flows and autonomous systems.
Programming Languages: Knowledge of and ability to develop code in Java in
support of product development. This includes the extension of capabilities of
packages and products.
API Design and Development: The ability to design develop and maintain
Application Program Interfaces (APIs) a set of routines protocols and tools
for building software applications that specify how software components
should interact and are used when programming graphical user

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 510 of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk communicate in person and by telephone frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 160600.00 to 232900.00 USD per year which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on jobrelated factors which may include knowledge skills experience and location. In addition this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
