Job Description
The Guidance Center (TGC) in Leavenworth Kansas is actively seeking an experienced Child and Family Therapist to join our innovative interdisciplinary team. As a reputable Community Mental Health Center serving LeavenworthAtchison and Jefferson counties TGC is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of children adolescents and their families. - MondayFriday between the hours of 9:00am5:00pm plus 4 hours in the evening.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct intake assessments and develop initial treatment plans to clients under the age of 18
- Provide effective individual family and group psychotherapy as well as ongoing treatment planning
- Deliver crisis services during daytime hours when required
Requirements:
EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:
Masters degree in Social Work Clinical Psychology Marriage & Family Therapy or Professional Counseling
Licensure by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as a LMSW LMLP LMFT LPC LSCSW LCP LCPC or LCMFT by the start of employment
EXPERIENCE:
Required: One year experience in a clinical setting providing assessment and therapy services.
Preferred: Postmasters clinical experience and familiarity with the Kansas system of communitybased mental health care and associated evidencebased practices
