Job Description

Job Title:Sr. Associate Quality Engineer

Job Code: 22228

Job Location: Huntsville AL or Toney AL

Job Schedule: 9/80 work 9 out of every 14 days totaling 80 hours worked and have every other Friday off

Job Description:

We are seeking an Sr.Associate Quality Engineer to work at either our existing stateoftheart Advanced Manufacturing Facility (AMF) inToney ALand/or our new AMF inHuntsville AL which will be our inert manufacturing facility for fabrication and assembly of composite rocket motor hardware. Thisrole will include coordinating and overseeing the completion of qualityrelated actions and activities developing key metrics dashboards and reports to support quality initiatives and collaborating across multiple Centers of Excellence (COEs). The ideal candidate will have a passion for improvement a keen eye for detail strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively across various teams to drive quality improvements.

Essential Functions:

  • Utilizes engineering background and expertise to communicate between team members and customer counterparts to provide assurance that the hardware is compliant to specifications.

  • Handles and communicates deviations/nonconformance at different levels within the organization. Understands and communicates typical aerospace processes (machining welding nondestructive testing etc. and how they are applied to the hardware being manufactured.

  • Applies modern quality principles concepts and methods to routine aerospace and manufacturing operation including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools.

  • Interprets engineering drawings and specifications customer quality requirements and company quality requirements to ensure compliance with the customers expectations.

  • Prepares comprehensive analyses procedures reports and presentations for customer review throughout the evaluation process. Reviews all supplier data and ensures that it is complete and accurate before the data is reviewed by the customer.

  • Interfaces with the Material Review Board (MRB) to provide technical justification when a nonconformance to mutually agreed specifications is determined.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to obtain US Security Clearence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and minimum 2years of prior relevant qualityengineering experience.Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related quality engineering experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 6 years of prior related quality engineering experience.

  • 1 year Microsoft Excelexperience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Regulatory & Auditing (AS9100.

  • Statistical Analysis.
