Job Description

Play a key role in overseeing the development and of strategic communication activities.

Chief Learner Experience Office Mt Helen or Berwick Campus regular travel between campuses will be required.
Fulltime fixedterm appointment for 5 years

About the role

As the Head Corporate Communications you will play a key role in overseeing the development and of all strategic communications activities on behalf of Federation University. You will lead and manage the Corporate Communications and Events team across all University campuses.

You will:

  • provide oversight of the Corporate Communications strategic direction and key capabilities;

  • identify and develop compelling communication strategies and recommendations

  • provide strategic communications advice and development of communications materials for the ViceChancellor;

  • maintain strategic relations ship with key stakeholders including VCST government and external media.

About you

Working under the broad direction of the Director Marketing and Growth you will possess demonstrated extensive experience in public relations and communication with exemplary professional communications writing skills and a high level of attend to detail.

You will possess demonstrated:

  • people skills including the ability to negotiate and consult with a diverse range of people;

  • experience in political sensitivities and the proven ability to maintain confidentiality;

  • organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple task an projects within tight timelines;

  • experience in a range of media and social media platforms.
