The contract for this position will coincide with the project cycle with the possibility of extension depending on renewed project funding or mutual consent. Currently the project ending period is 31 December 25.
KiDS Project:
YRGCARE a nonprofit organization based in Chennai and operating throughout India is inviting applications for the position of Field Coordinator with ten positions available in Varanasi and Kanpur. These roles are part of the KiDS project supported by Sanofis Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative which focuses on raising diabetes awareness among middle and high school students in government schools by training their teachers.
Terms of Reference:
Summary of Key Functions:
- Under the overall supervision of the Project Manager the incumbent will assist the program in developing and of project in the base location.
- Coordinate with district government officials for the teachers session and student session.
- Facilitate training of teachers.
- Supervise and monitor all the activities of the project like sessions with students parents and community.
- Data entry and analysis of the data captured in the project.
- Supervise and monitor the mapping of the community linked with the schools and facilitate community meetings.
- Preparing weekly and monthly quantitative and narrative reports.
- Build technical capacities and monitoring plans of field team.
- Support team in field visit planning of service delivery models team management conflict and any other troubleshooting adhering to ethics etc whenever required.
- Effective monitoring of timelines data collection and reporting.
- Any other tasks assigned by the Program Manager YRG Care Project.
Reporting:
- Reporting to Program Manager JHU YRG Care Project.
- Provide data/information from the field required for the preparation of reports in coordination with the National M&E Officer.
- Maintain records on site level referrals to facilities/services forms referral slips etc in application provided and hard copy as required.
Requirements
Qualifications Skills and Experience:
- Preferably Postgraduation in Social Sciences/ Statistics/ Data Science with at least 5 years of work experience handling largescale development health and nutrition in the past at the district level.
- Experience in managing teams and complex situations.
- Excellent ability of documentation and preparation of reports.
- Excellent skill in data analysis and data presentation (MS Excel & PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge with the education department is necessary.
- Excellent ability in using MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and oral communication liaison and negotiation skills
- Selfmotivated with a strong ability and drive to lead project activities independently with minimal supervision.
- Required to travel for appx 20 days a month. (Travel and logistic support will be provided under the project).
