To better serve the growing Canadian market we are currently hiring for the position of Vice President Relationship Management Technology Banking based in Vancouver.
The VP is responsible for helping to manage a national portfolio of clients prospects and influential relationships and secondarily supporting MD & Directors in other Regions. VPs are skilled at building and growing relationships with Founders CEOs CFOs and other key influencers as well as expertise developing driving and cross selling new business opportunities in the market. Strong understanding of the business trends impacting the market they cover. Over time will develop a strong understanding of the capital structure of venture backed technology companies as well as being a highly skilled negotiator and financial engineer. Supporting the management of a portfolio of assigned borrowing and nonborrowing clients with relationship colleagues and helping to nurture client relationships to increase product awareness
The VP role will also include managing assigned client relationships and providing support to MD Directors and VPs and the team client relationships. Helping to ensure those clients receive a world class relationship management experience. Independently contacting clients and prospects. Engaging in client meetings leading team interaction with operations and product groups internally. Demonstrating a thorough command of our products and offerings. Engaging in the negotiation of financing solutions for our clients.
You are :
A highly effective person with people and relationships. Internal and external business leader. Maintaining an increasing network of business relationships including the executive management of clients prospects referral sources and other influential relationships in the Vancouver area and beyond.
Adept at building managing and scaling a portfolio of clients and the business in general. Ability to develop an understanding of the clients needs and cross selling of products and services at the appropriate points in the lifecycle of the business.
Highly skilled relationship builder negotiator and financial engineer.
Primary Duties:
Responsible for assisting in relationship management of commercial bank clients and delivery of core commercial banking products. Assisting in advising originating and negotiating financing solutions for Commercial Bank clients andproviding support to MDs Directors and VPs on ancillary offerings as well as general portfolio account management
Work with internal groups to meet deadlines and communicate effectively with the client as part of that process. Focus on success drivers and corporate goals through collaboration with appropriate business units and through smart risk taking
Manage a portfolio of their own independent client relationships.
Recommend new business development opportunities and wells as decisions related to portfolio management.
Responsible for new business development expansion of existing relationships 10
Education/Qualifications/Certifications/Licensing:
5 years of related experience. Experience and network in the tech startup ecosystem.
Strong relationship management negotiation and marketing skills.
Good closing skills.
Strong focus and ownership on the overall client experience.
Knowledge of bank operations.
Bachelors degree or equivalent related experience.
