Job Description

Federated Cooperatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Project Engineer Electrical & Instrumentation on a permanent basis at our Coop Refinery Complex (CRC). This position requires onsite work and is based in Regina SK.

We operate a worldclass refinery that utilizes cuttingedge technology to produce 130000 barrels of refined petroleum products per day and an annual production capacity of 6.8 billion liters. As one of Canadas largest refineries we employ over 1000 people. If you have a passion for technical design project engineering project management and construction management for sustaining capital projects this could be the job for you.

What youll do:

You will demonstrate practical understanding of fundamental engineering principles by using established technical standards interpretation of regulatory or codified requirements and interpretation of industry best practices or standards.

  • Effectively manage projects from prefeed to commissioning and startup.
  • Collaborate with team members project owners and sponsors and senior management to deliver projects on schedule and on budget.
  • Work with Procurement and Construction teams throughout the project to ensure work is completed in accordance with project strategy and schedule.
  • Responsible for maintaining cost reports cash flow and overall schedule for the project.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts during all phases of the project while aligning with project goals and objective as well as risk management.
  • Make decisions throughout the different phases of the project utilizing professional and technical expertise to ensure project is delivered safely efficiently and meets stakeholder expectations.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Engineering & Engineering Technology and:

  • Have a Bachelors Degree in electrical engineering electronics engineering or equivalent.
  • Have 610 years of directly related experience in refinery operations or an industrial setting.
  • You are registered as Professional Engineer (P. Eng).designation.
  • Experience with Electrical Instrumentation and Controls Engineering.
  • Working knowledge of electrical CEC and NEC code and industry standards such as IEEE ANSI NFPA and CSA.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
