At Brandback were on a mission to redefine shopping with AI. Founded by experienced operators and backed by top tier investors and angels from the retail industry we have gone from strength to strength since launching our product last year.
Location: Berlin Germany office-first 4 days / week
Type: Full-Time
Experience Level: Mid-Level to Senior-Level
We are looking for a product-minded Full Stack Engineer focusing on Frontend to join our growing team. In this role you will be responsible for building and optimizing user experiences ensuring our app is fast intuitive and visually compelling. You will work closely with designers product managers and the rest of the engineering team to bring features to life and define the future of our frontend architecture.
This role offers the opportunity to work with modern technologies drive best practices and shape the engineering culture in a rapidly scaling company.
Tasks
What you will be doing
- Building the Brandback app - you will redefine how customers interact with a shopping app in the age of AI
- Developing and shipping high-quality user-centric frontend experiences in TypeScript React and Web Components.
- Defining and improving our frontend architecture ensuring scalability maintainability and performance.
- Collaborating with designers and product teams to implement beautiful highly functional UI/UX.
- Collaborating with AI engineers to integrate recommendation engines and personalised content into the frontend experience
- Writing clean reusable and well-tested code enforcing best practices across the codebase.
- Driving innovation researching and implementing new tools frameworks or methodologies to improve our frontend.
- Mentoring and leading other engineers as the team grows fostering a culture of technical excellence.

Requirements
Must have
- Strong experience with React TypeScript and modern frontend development. Showcase it with projects that you worked on.
- Product mindset striving to understand the users and how to deliver best experience for them
- Deep understanding of frontend performance optimisation browser rendering and responsive design.
- Experience building scalable frontend architectures in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with designers product managers and backend engineers.
Nice to have
- Experience in an early-stage startup environment.
- Experience working on eCommerce or AI-driven products.
