Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in a businessrelated discipline and at least 2 years of related experience preferred. Must be bilingual. The business consultant must have a broad base of business knowledge excellent research and analytical skills be a creative thinker to assist with problemsolving and can effectively manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously. Must be familiar with the cultures of the Hispanic communities. Some travel may be required to serve the assigned area. Applicants for this position must have a good working knowledge of basic business tools to include financial analysis business research marketing and accounting and be proficient in the use of computers and MS Office. Consultants must be comfortable speaking in public to represent the SC SBDC at functions such as educational workshops and Chamber of Commerce or other public events and speaking with a diverse group of individuals such as bankers government officials and resource providers. Strong preference for experience working in or with small businesses and consulting experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience and/or knowledge of commercial business financing. Selfstarter goaloriented and comfortable working in a fastpaced environment.
Work Schedule
The schedule will be primarily during standard business hours 22.5 hours on weekdays. A specific schedule will be defined with the supervisor. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the department.
