Job Description:
L3Harris is looking for an Integration / Test Engineer to support the integration troubleshooting and testing of various Communication Navigation Surveillance and Air Traffic Management and Mission systems on various aircraft platforms and in Systems Integration Labs. Candidate should have a previous knowledge of aircraft Mission Systems installed on various platforms. SIGINT experience required. Must be able to read aircraft wiring diagrams and follow aircraft technical orders and maintenance manuals.
Essential Functions:
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on Airport surveillance Radar Instrument Landing systems Air Traffic Control radio communications systems Tactical air Navigation equipment Automated Weather Observation Systems and Digital Voice Communications Switches as well as a myriad of support equipment.
- Provide support to multiple programs both onsite and abroad in installation and troubleshooting a wide range of RF communications systems.
- Required to work well in a team environment
- expected to perform work at increasing levels of skill and complexity.
- Reliability communication skills workmanship and good judgement are essentialtraits.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Excel Word and Power Point and ability to search internet to find technical information when required.
- Proficient written and oral communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degreein related technical field and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Must have an extensive background in troubleshooting and maintaining electronics systems and the use of a very broad range of test equipment.
- Must have ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance which requires US citizenship.
- Candidate must possess the ability to acquire an FCC general radiotelephone operator license with radar endorsement within 3 months of accepting position.
- Will involve duties that are labor intensive working at heights and a need to climb towers up to 200 ft.
- 20 Travel in CONUS/OCONUS will be required to support customer requirements.
- Must have at least one of the following certifications:
- Airport Surveillance radar
- BI5 Beacon/IFF STARS LITE Digital Display
- Sensis Surveillance Data System
- AN/FRN45C FOS TACAN
- Automated Weather Observation System (AWOS)
- MK20A ILS Certification
- Thales DME 415 SE
- Harris/Sola Com Liberty Star III digital voice switch
- CM200 UHF/VHF transmitter & receiver satellite uplink/downlink antenna experience and RF cabling to include tower installations.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Additionally must either have or quickly obtain a USAF/FAA certification on the ASR8 and an FAA verification certification on ILS.
