Job Title: Fuel Truck Driver
Job Summary: The Fuel Truck Driver will drive a light vehicle such as a truck or van with a capacity of less than 26000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) primarily to deliver or pick up merchandise or to deliver packages. May load and unload vehicle.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Obeytraffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
- Inspectand maintain vehicle supplies and equipment such as gas oil watertires lights or brakes to ensure that vehicles are in proper workingcondition.
- Reportany mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
- Presentbills and receipts and collect payments for goods delivered or loaded.
- Loadand unload trucks vans or automobiles.
- Verifythe contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
- Turnin receipts and money received from deliveries.
- Maintainrecords such as vehicle logs records of cargo or billing statements inaccordance with regulations.
- Readmaps and follow written or verbal geographic directions.
- Reportdelays accidents or other traffic and transportation situations to basesor other vehicles using telephones or mobile twoway radios.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 3years of experience required.
- HighSchool diploma or equivalent preferred.
- CDL Class A or Bwith HazMat Endorsements must have experience.
