Job Description

The role of the Procurement Specialist is not just pivotal but crucial in ensuring our organizations smooth and efficient operation. This involves the vital tasks of sourcing purchasing and managing goods and services. The Specialist is responsible for identifying and selecting suppliers negotiating contracts and ensuring costeffective procurement practices while maintaining quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Identify potential suppliers for various goods and services.

2. Evaluate supplier capabilities based on price quality and reliability.

3. Build and maintain strong positive relationships with key vendors.

4. Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery.

5. Track orders and maintain accurate records of purchases.

6. Expedite orders and resolve any supply chain issues.

7. Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers for the best possible value.

8. Review and manage contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

9. Conducting cost analysis is a key responsibility of the Procurement Specialist. It provides a significant opportunity to identify and implement strategies for substantial savings 10. thereby contributing to the organizations financial health and professional growth.

11. Develop and implement strategies to optimize procurement processes.

12. Monitor inventory levels and identify any potential stock shortages.

13. Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree in Business Supply Chain Management or a related field.

2. Proven experience in procurement or purchasing.

3. Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

5. Proficiency in using procurement and inventory management software.

6. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

8. Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.

9. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

1. Professional procurement certifications (e.g. CPP CPPM).

2. Experience working with ERP systems.

3. Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements.

4. Experience with strategic sourcing and vendor performance management.
