Job Description

Des Arc High School is looking for a dedicated and skilled High School Math Teacher to teach Geometry and Algebra 2. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching the ability to make complex mathematical concepts accessible to students and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment. This position offers the opportunity to inspire students while helping them build critical thinking and problemsolving skills in mathematics.Responsibilities:Develop and deliver engaging lessons for Geometry and Algebra 2 aligning with state standards and curriculum guidelinesAssess student progress through regular assignments quizzes and exams providing timely feedbackDifferentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of studentsFoster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaborationImplement classroom management strategies to maintain a productive learning atmosphereCommunicate effectively with students parents and staff regarding student progress and academic performanceParticipate in professional development opportunities and schoolwide eventsCollaborate with colleagues to enhance the math curriculum and share best practicesQualifications:Bachelors degree in Mathematics Education or related fieldValid teaching certification in Secondary Math (Geometry and Algebra 2)Strong understanding of high schoollevel math content and the ability to explain concepts clearlyExcellent communication and classroom management skillsPassion for teaching and a commitment to student successDes Arc High School is an equal opportunity employer.
