Job Description:
The successful candidate is a highly developed individual support contributor.The Facilities Support C will perform scheduled and reactive maintenance and troubleshoot and repair a variety of internal manufacturing equipment and building systems. The position will work autonomouslyon assignments requiring judgment and initiativeand as part of a team.
Essential Functions:
- Experience in all the common maintenance trades including but not limited to trades such as carpentry HVAC plumbing painting electrical roofing life safety grounds maintenance and/or machine & equipment repair.
- Proficient in the use of testing devices such as multimeters and voltmeters
- Diagnose and often repair problems in electrical circuits systems and equipment including facility heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) chiller system air compressors and manufacturing equipment
- Request quotes from outsourced vendors and contractors
- Schedule oversee and validate maintenance and repair operations performed by contractors
- Perform tasks with the highest regard for safety
- Coordinates projects such as employee moves roof repair & maintenance interior and exterior wall repair with efficiency and proficiency in meeting timelines and schedules
- Flexibility to work overtime and off shifts as needed
- Perform regular inspections of fire safety systems facility and grounds
Qualifications:
Requires highly developed job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years postsecondary/associates degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Understanding of applicable health and safety regulations and industrial standards and practices such as NFPA DOT ANSI OSHA etc.
- Proficient computer skills and MS Office
- Experience with using a facility and equipment CMMS (e.g. Faciliworks)
- OSHA NFPA EPA and/or other related education or professional credentials a plus.
- HVAC Plumbing or Electrical certifications a plus
